Options suggested for children to play
In our times, when the world outside is so insecure, it is very important to provide playing facilities for children inside the society only. There are few ways to attain this end.
1) Our park is so big that it can easily be divided into five parts (back of C Block, front side of C block, in front of B block, between B and A block, and in front of A block). Can’t we reserve at least one part, with proper 2-story-high fencing which should not cost more than 15-20 thousand, for children to play? Rest can be used by the old ones for recreation. At least this little we can do for our children.
2) If this is not possible, at least a badminton court can be prepared in the space between B and C or B and A block. This should cost less than 5-10 thousands.
3) A little costlier option would be to convert table tennis room into a Gym (that is only if children are not playing there). A gym with air-conditioner with a major contribution by the society and minor by its members will go a long way towards helping the men, women and children to be fitness conscious.
4) one can also explore the option of a third gate (at the space where Lohri was celebrated) for limited hours for children to go and play in the park which is just 10 metres behind the society. One will not have to cross any main road and parents can also keep a watch on the children playing there. The park at the back can be watched form the stairs (backside) of the all three towers)
5) Meanwhile, it is very important to repair the swings
for the young children. Though some of them are badly broken, the repair will not cost much.
I think it is very important to take care of the children, and allow them a decent place to play.
